What can I expect during laser treatment?  

A hand piece delivers a laser pulse into the targeted areas on your skin, and a controlled amount of therapeutic heat safely and effectively damages the hair follicles. Treatments take anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour, depending on the area being treated.

 

Do Gentle Hair Removal treatments hurt?  

Gentle systems feature a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD), which minimizes discomfort by releasing a quick burst of liquid cryogen before and after each laser pulse. This cryogen quickly evaporates, cooling the outer layers of the skin. Some patients report a sensation similar to being snapped with a rubber band, but that generally resolves quickly with DCD cooling. A topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment.

Like most people about to engage in this sort of treatment, I too did a great deal of research to find out that people expressed concerns about pain. But to my delight this was a nonissue. Ms. Sharpe´s approach is calm and methodical, and with each subsequent visit it got progressively easier since there was less and less hair to zap. By my second appointment I begun to see a real improvement as if the laser had begun to pick up a lot more energy and after three visits I was happy; even the more resilient patches of hair disappeared and the skin itself appeared to have become somehow rejuvenated. And all of it right on time for summer, when I could again take my shirt off at the pool and not appear if a pack of bears has shown up at the local water hole. I am very happy with this treatment and feel as if it has shaved off 15 to 20 years; no pun intended.
